I was just diagnosed with severe endometreosis just this month and fatty liver disease this past July, so I apologize for just answering to this. It probably won't be viewed, but maybe my experience will help someone later.

The high liver levels have shown up for four years on blood tests and I began having female symptoms at the same time. The VA ignored these deficiencies until I got a different pa to help send me onto a GI specialist. Here is where the exploration into the female issues really took off. The imbalance in hormones in conjunction with the pain medications (ibuprophen, tylenol and an assortment of high-potency pain meds for severe nerve pain in the back and seisures) caused these two conditions. The problem is that the liver disease cannot allow for indirect hormonal ingestion inclusive of birth control. I also cannot handle extra weight, meat and milk products as they cause constipation, liver and pancreatic pain and menstrual cramping at the wrong times. As a result, I am now no longer fertile and I am looking at a hysterectomy to help with trying to control the hormones and balance out the liver functions.

I hope to get some other opinions on the matter, so any will be appreciative. The main issue is the ability to properly filtrate and produce the hormones necessary to balance the liver and the female issues enough to lose effective weight and control the increased speed of bone loss, cartilage and joint function and eventually heal the liver to a healthy state again. What will come of this? I don't know. But having both issues at the same time is feeding off each other. The liver causing imbalance in hormones leading to the female issues and the female issues leading to the disruption in proper liver functioning. Both leading to extreme and debilitating pain and a body aging at an increased rate.

I am 34. I have chronic back pain due to an old broken back, hip, arm and ankle. I have both endometriosis and fatty liver disease, and this is what I can provide.

I have changed my diet to a type of vegan-style diet including cold-water fresh fish and eliminating all milk products, products within cans and any and all non-organic foods as possible. This has helped with weight management and energy levels as well with constipation and intense mood swings. This has not, however, truly helped with the bleeding and the intense shooting pains in both areas. I have also done cleansings and I am still currently looking for vitamin supplements that do not have by-products as vehicles. I exercise quite a bit, but the weight loss has been minimal due to the hormonal levels and sometimes the pain. I am on a 1500 calorie diet that is high in fiber and moderate in protein. When I first began this adventure, I found I would suffer exhaustion from a protein loss. It was dramatic losing my meat at first, but I learned how to balance this with cold-water fresh fish and hormone-free eggs. This is an extremely expensive way to live especially where I am from, and it has thus far only helped a little.

I have hope one day that I will not be sick anymore, but I am finding this strange combination of illnesses contains no easy answers. SO, I sympathize with anyone and everyone suffering this combination. And any and all advice for me is appreciative.

Thank you all.
