People with the raw, triangular are have it worse. This is from my own personal experience- what worked or what did not. I did not apply any moisturizer during the day so the upper lip could get dry enough to form a scab. If I apply any moisturizer to my bottom lip, it will rub onto the trianagular area. Since your mouth usually gets dry while you sleep, your upper lip can still scab if you apply moisturizer on it. I do not know what moisturizer will work best for you. Some possible suggestions are shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, or aloe vera.
