My floaters were related to a chronic HSV1 infection (oral herpes which had spread).

After treating the condition, my floaters greatly reduced. And, interestingly, so did my severe hypertension.

You might ask your doc to test your blood for this (called the HerpSelect test). If positive for HSV1, you may have your answer.
