I am reminded of story about a man who was known as the 'village idiot'. He got so fed up with everyone thinking that he was an idiot. He decided to travel a distance to see a well know wiseman in the region. He told the man of his situation and wanted advice as to what to do about his situation. He said, "How can I get people to start respecting me?" 

The wiseman said to him, "If you really want to turn the whole thing around, then you do one thing. All you have to do is start arguing with everyone about everything, never miss a moment to argue about what somebody says. And immediately your situation will begin to change. Disagree with everyone on everything."

The man returned to his village and was anxious to give this idea a try. He entered the cafe where he usually had his morning cup of tea. He was greeted by the shop owner. "Oh, I am glad to see you again, my friend, what can I get you?" He immediately jumped on the owner of the cafe and started to argue with him. 

"I disagree with you. You call me a friend but I don't think so. You only see me as a customer and nothing more. The fact of the matter is that you could care less about me! So there is really nothing you can get for me." The owner was caught speechless, and immediately offered him a free cup of tea to help smooth things over.

Later on, he overheard a couple talking, one person said to the other, "What a beautiful day it is!" And immediately he started to argue about how it. "There is nothing that can be called beautiful about it. If you insist, then I will point out exactly what is not beautiful about it!" 

This went on and on... soon, after several months, the reputation of his being the village idiot was completely changed. Everyone believed he was quite knowledgeable because he would always debate with everyone else that also thought they had great knowledge about things.  

I can only imagine that there will be more and more so-called "teachers" appearing as 2012 approaches.

The Hidden Hand personality is, by far, the most entertaining of the lot. As you are probably aware, there are numerous channelers that have hit the scene. I get the distinct feeling this is a guy that is also 'channeling' a bunch of spirit guides on the dark side of that good/bad spirit equation, i.e. that part of the collective mindset that has been created to oppose the positive.

It seems to me that UniversalLight has arisen because of the way 'Hidden Hand' seemed to have captured the awe and respect from so many ATS members. The suggested reading for both entities is the "Law of One". Which I understand was channeled information from the entity called 'Ra'. Someone correct me if this is not the case. He suggests that Knowledge = Protection = Power as a general rule that will take somone a long way. I think that this applies to the ego which builds its fortress on the accumulation of selected knowledge. Knowledge can be useful in the world at large. 

To me, knowledge only strengthens the ego, and the ego stands in the way of directly experiencing truth. But if finding the truth is what is yanking your chain, then the collecting of knowledge will have to be dropped at some point. Awakening due to the events surrounding 9/11 may have help people shed previously held beliefs that the entities like corporations, banks and governemnt are not out to exploit individuals. But that is only one layer of skin that is wrapped around the onion of truth. One can easily justify having a belief that they have awakened when there are many many more layers of the onion to still be removed.
