If christianity is the benign belief system you think it is, what happens when you question it, or decide that it is no longer what you believe, what happens when you reject this belief system?

When anyone joins a cult, there is a lot of love and and inclusion by those who believe the same thing, as well as those that control these cults. The problems only start when the person begins to doubt (lose faith), thats when the big guns of fear and guilt start to come up.
