I feel like you do. Especially when they don't know the difference between a single cell freshwater green algae and multicellular blue-green algae, which is technically not even an algae but rather a cyanobacteria. I can understand a layperson not knowing the difference but any company manufacturing herbal formulas should and better know the difference.
