If you read Rene Caisse's recommendations on Essiac, you will find it to be one ounce per day.  In rare cases she prescribed one ounce twice a day.  She said that in the case of Essiac - more is not better.  Also all of her healing and providing Essiac was under a doctor's care while all patients that she treated were undergoing radiation therapy.  Essiac is powerful and misunderstood.
