Yes, farts (in solitude) can be quite rewarding IMO, and such a relief to the whole GI tract. I'm completing my fast mostly in seclusion now (except for the dog and cats, who don't complain) so it's a real privilege to let fly.
"Why does [saliva] get so airiated?"
I don't know, but since it's a digestive fluid loaded with enzymes, it must be reacting with what it encounters in the mouth- maybe moreso when our mouths are full of the fasting furries.
A futher thought on the original topic: When we take water without scraping/brushing/gargling and otherwise cleaning our tongues and mouth, it seems to me that we must be washing some wild if not toxic things down from the white jungle. I've started to clean out my mouth before taking on water. It's tedious, but I'm going to try and be fastidious about it, to see if it helps keep my own stomach content- realizing that it's hard to be scientific in this, because through the fasting process we are all continuously going through many phases and changes.
