We've had some conversations about this in the past and I think the net effect is to make him more self-conscious of what he isn't doing and add pressure and wierdness to the situation. If he is generally happy with the way things are, I wonder if I really should bring it up. Mr. JohnMcCain2008/SherlockHolmes was very much for avoiding the wierdness. You're a guy as well, so what about that angle?
Besides, I definitely would suck it up about this and more to preserve our marriage. It's about compromise and it's well worth what I get out of it. My main concern is what is best for US long term - talking about it or not.
Also, I'm extremely curious about you saying desire is the sign of an unclean body. I'm surprised b/c I would think the opposite is true: evolutionary thinking would suggest that a healthy body would do everything it can to procreate to keep the race alive and generally I have more energy when I'm eating well. In contrast, if I'm bloated and overloaded with bad food (such as happens at times during the holidays), I feel too lethargic or yukky to want some.
