About 3 days ago, I got poison oak. I didn't realize I had it until after going to sleep, and within few days, it was spread pretty wide. have it on my face, arms, body, groin, and thighs. My eyes swelled up, and it was uncomfortable to have them open. My left forearm, where it all started, is now leathery, so that it is hard to bend my wrist in the normal way.
I have been trying treatments from google, such as hot water, baking soda baths, salt, vinegar, ice, and lemon peels. I also used tecnu. It's hard to tell what is providing just itch relief, or is actually speeding up the curing process.
The swelling around my eyes has gone down significantly with ice, but the rash is still there, and my left arm is still leathery. I am able to deal with the itchiness relatively well, I am concerned mainly with faster healing.
I also started doing The Master Cleanser , and am on my second day. If that won't help my poison oak, I think I may decide to try it out some other time when I am better to start. also lost about 4 pounds, which worries me because i was only about 120 to start, and I have a fast metabolism. I don't have too much fat on me, and I don't want to become too skinny.
My main question is, what can I do for my poison oak to heal quicker, and to make my arm not leathery?
Also, is this a good time to try out The Master Cleanser , being the first time I am trying it?
Thank you very much for the help.
