My husband has been recently diagnosed with some mass in his colon, pathology was unclear but gastro doc and surgeon think it should be treated as cancer and removed.
I've been very excited about Dr William Kelley's work but am confused as to how many enzymes of what strength to take. Kelley had his own special formulas and it's not clear to me from reading his book how many units of pancreatin his patients took. We're planning on a mix of plant and animal pancreatic enzymes. Can anyone advise on strength/dosage?
Does anyone know how much pancreatic enzymes are needed to digest regular protein in the diet? I imagine we would need to supplement over and above what is needed to digest his food.
Also, does anyone know what causes the constant diarrhea or what could be done to help him have normal stool? He is taking lots of fiber but it does not seem to be helping.
Appreciate any advice.
