granulomatus cheilitis is constant swelling of the lip due to inflammation. i don't think the majority on here have recurring swelling lips. swelling is caused by histamine. I tried anti histamine tablets way back with no effect on the lips at all. i've researched granulomatus cheilitis before the pictures that come up are this.
this does cause the lips to peel(same symptoms as EC) because of the inflammation(histamine) in the lip.
btw is this kartiks?
the biopsy cuts off a piece of the lip. i don't think its coming from the lip. i think this is caused by a fungus from the mouth and nails. the same type of fungus that causes a nail infection(dermatophyte), it eats off keratin(dead skin), and the skin responds by increasing the production of skin cells/keratin, the result is EC. look it up.
