I would like to ask you folks if anyone on this board has tried and experienced a reduction in waist measurements, not necessarily weight loss, however that can happen too apparently, with the use of lactoferrin and rather large doses of probiotics.
I drink/use raw goat milk, which does have a small amount of lactoferrin in it - and recently added Life Extensions apolactoferrin product... I also make big efforts to eat/drink kombucha, homemade kefir/yogurt, and fermented vegetables every day, along with taking a high quality EM and/or probiotic and have experienced this - in just a matter of days... after adding the lactoferrin.
Warning - it did cause a bit of intestinal distress, mostly a feeling of being bloated and a bit of gas... for a day or three... that seems to be over now.
I never weigh myself, so I cannot confirm weight loss... however I can confirm a loss in waist size - as I stated... in just a matter of days.
Since I have been on these CZ boards, I have lost weight to the tune of about 50 pounds... very slowly over time, due to the cleansing and attention to a high quality, whole foods diet... and always felt that I needed to lose about another 20 - 30... that NEVER came off... for the past 3 years or so... like I said... I cannot confirm weight loss, however, can confirm a flatter stomach among other things.
As well as I have been eating, and living for years, I was rather taken aback/surprised by this response... I had just come to the place where I accepted it as me... who I was - what "God" gave me.
An interesting aside... was a product I ran into for a "flatter" stomach with both probiotics and lactoferrin in it... though I would not post it here, or purchase it as there was no a description of product ingredients or strength.
Apparently this particular combination is supposed to help with reducing inflammation in the intestines by healing the gut and gut walls (epithelial layers), while dramatically increasing the beneficial microflora, especially the bifidus.
I am not stating that this is a full blown answer to weight issues - exercise and eating correctly for yourself are obviously parts of this as well... but perhaps this is a piece of it. Without a doubt, most of us have lost much beneficial/commensal gut flora through the use of modern food chemicals, including splenda, and Antibiotics among a host of other poisons... and those microflora that we retain, have changed expression and function due to the environmental pressures we put on them with the junk that many eat and drink.
Your input appreciated...
thank you,
grz-
