I am glad this info was of help to you. I looked in his catalog, his patient handbook and in his save your life manual and nothing more was said on why he used a waterpik other than what he said in the interview above about it driving the formula into the gum pockets and deep in there to do its work.

Personally, I tried it that way a short time and the waterpic with it made my gums hurt and bleed with that strong pressure. It also took a lot more tincture. When I moved, I lost a part to the waterpik and could only brush it on with a toothbrush. I imagine if you persevere with the waterpik your gums will toughen up to the pressure.

I found a couple testimonies in Dr Schulze's sale catalog reproduced below.

1. "four different dentists told me that I had a gum infection that could not be killed unless I had all my teeth pulled. They warned me of dire results form the infection, I tried the tooth and gum formula, which cured the infection in only two weeks, I've had no problems since.

-EGF Los Angeles, Ca"

2. My daughter was hit in the face with a ping pong paddle. It loosened the tooth and cracked the nerve. After using your t0oth and gum for 30 days, her front tooth tightened back to normal and the nerve completely healed. The dentist was amazed.

-dg Los Angeles, Ca"

He says for best results use this formula in your water pik, or put a few drops directly on your toothbrush. He says he customers reported excellent results by soaking their floss in it and still others say using one dropperful mixed with a few drops of anti-infection formula is the way to go.

The astringent herbs help a lot as these kind of herbs asre used for this purpose--"Astringent herbs are herbs that increase tone and firmness of the tissues and lessen mucous discharge from the nose, intestines, vagina, and draining sores." according to gaines site that lists many astringent herbs. So these herbs kill the infection and tighten up the gum tissue back around the teeth.

here is what he says in his patient manual

Don't forget Dr Christopher's formula. I related the two case histories above which info is found here

He told this story on his lecture video that used to be on goggle but was removed by s a m-b i s e r.

Schulze says the bayberry and oak are two of the most powerful astringent herbs and these stop bleeding gums, reduce inflammation and bind and tighten teeth. The cayenne also stops bleeding of the gums and dramatically increases the gum and tooth blood circulation which encourages more rapid healing. Tee tree helps mask the hot flavor (apparently Schulze uses habenero peppers per his catalog) makes the heat but not the action and is antifungal and anti bacterial. Echinachea is a similar oral antiseptic.
