I wrote this giving the wrong impression.

Chloride (salt) is a necessary food.
Sugar is also necessary.
Fat is also necessary.

What I wrote (the way I wrote it) implies that you should avoid them which is not what I wanted to say.

You can become too alkaline. It's called Metabolic alkalosis.
