This needs to be said because I feel it reveals agendas and how informational games are played out, while dancing in the shadows.
Maya, why did you feel the need to give Turiya's post 3 R's?
An email back from Solus (Doven and Skylar's admin account)indicated my intuition was correct about this. I guess you were sensitive to the information after all, even though you publicly down played that. I find this passive aggressive maneuver quite revealing of an agenda. How do you see it? When one takes into consideration that you posted that you wouldn't be around for a few days over Christmas, then a day later I see you have been busy behind the scenes, it adds to the interest.
I would like full transparency regarding this.
Did you also R your own post? My intuition says you did. I forgot to ask Solus about that one.
If so, this reveals something quite interesting, especially since you and Turiya were suggesting that the information I shared was being "divisive." Then I find out that you are using R's as a perceptional weapon of sorts to create a curezone/forum perceived endorsement? Quite unacceptable really. It seems underhanded to me, and dare I say, "divisive." Especially seeing that it isn't even your forum, just information you strongly agree with including your own.
I personally don't find that using moderating status in this way to be helpful, but actually it demonstrates a huge bias when you use your moderating powers to give your own message a boost and another message that goes along with your sensibilities, a triple boost. Again it demonstrates the exact thing you say you are not in favor of...divisiveness.
May I suggest that there may be an ego sensitivity involved?
These threads have been very interesting and a great study into human nature.
I find no one has a problem about posting about ending wars and other things, but touch on a sacred cow (meat eating in this case/killing animals) and the fun begins.
I find it rather surreal.
