I actually came to realize yesterday that I have been having reflux and didn't realize that's what has been causing probably most of the anxiety. I had anxiety really bad yesterday at work, so bad that I had to leave the office and stay out in the hallway for a while to try to calm down. I had taken a Zantac, Gas-X, and a calms forte pill before that, and finally after burping a bit my body finally calmed down a bit. I felt really shaky, that was probably the worst I think I have felt from anxiety. I took a Prilosec OTC when I got home and it made my system feel much more calm, so I will continue to take it. I haven't been having heartburn, so I didn't realize that is what was going on, but I have been burping a lot lately and having trouble swallowing sometimes, which are also signs of reflux. I only know that it can cause anxiety because my husband had reflux and it made him have anxiety and made his esophagus tremble. It can also make people think they are having a heart attack. Anway, it could be reflux, or it could just be anxiety as that seems to be one of the most common complaints from Mirena on this website.
