People need to eat, they do not 'need' credit cards.

I personally think the suppliers of these credit cards are no better than loan sharks, and should be treated under the law, as such.

I also support national health care for all people, regardless of income, this is indeed what we have in Australia, which is where I live. We also provide a welfare system, that means that the most vunerable people in society do not need to rely on dodgy credit cards and loan sharks (in this case they are one and the same), to supply basic needs like food.

The system is not perfect by any means, we do have homeless and destitute people, often those that are mentally ill. There will always be those that fall through the cracks. A better idea than allowing these credit card schemes to paper over these cracks, is to fix the cracks in the first place.

As for the christians, right wing christian conservatives are IMHO the height of hypocracy. "All people are equal under god, some are just more equal than others", this seems to be the new christian view.
