Is there any known "fasting for idiots"-like primer for the uninitiated. My doctor told me I was starving myself (trust me, I'm no Kate Moss). He conceded that he would read something short if I would drop it off.

It would be nice to have a two or three page document that could address some of the scientific aspects of fasting to jar him out of his post-grad-school intellectual trance.

Anything like that exist?
