Are you still eating processed foods? When I was working on a construction site recently, I ended up being "the only veggie in the village" and had to put up with beans on toast at the site's greasy spoon. But I have to say, the salt in the processed beans and bread made me get an appetite for salt again. The only way for me to get rid of it now is to go through that nasty phase of the pleasure trap again, although from what Dr McDougall has said recently in his Nov 2009 VSH video, maybe I needn't bother. Obviously your case is different though. Apart from avoding processed foods and allowing time for adjustment, maybe try eating foods with a high natural salt content? That might satisfy your body's craving for salt without having to add any. More info at http://www.nutritiondata.com/
- I would need to look up which foods are high in sodium unless anyone else can advise.
More importantly, are you on a plant based diet? You should get rid of that hypertension. Caldwell Esselstyn emphasises "NO OIL!" - see the FAQ here http://www.heartattackproof.com/qanda.htm
