Hi, everyone. I am an occasional visitor, and wanted to ask why the Bowel Cleanses make my Acne so much worse?

I was on the P&B shakes a while back, determined to clean myself out. I was getting good resluts as far as changes in my bm's, etc., but my gosh was my skin a horror!! I had horrible cysts that actually scarred, which has never happened in my life. To this day, all I have to do is take ONE teaspoon if psyllium and I get a break out! I know that it is supposed to clean you out, but it seems like it just stirred things up like a big dust cloud and made a bigger mess!

I thought I had the complete answer a few months ago using dandelion and milk thistle. My skin was perfect. However, I seemed to develop an allergy to the dandelion, and the milk thistle alone does not work as well. I am extremely sensitive to any clensing and detoxing, so it has been a struggle.

I cannot do the Liver Flushes until I build my liver with herbs, and they all make me ill.
