Is this your first period post Mirena? My first one was just like that too. I have never been a heavy bleeder and I was changing tampons every two or three hours for the first three days. I also had a lot of blood clots. I think it is normal. The blood clots go away after the first period, but I still continue to have heavier bleeding than I used to. It isn't as bad as that first period though.
