Dr. Joel Furhman wrote in his book on fasting that he injured himself in his ankle when he was a competitive skater and was told he'd never skate again. He fasted for 46 days at Shelton's clinic and healed completely and went on to skate again.

All healing is sped up during fasting because the energy that is normally used during digestion can now be used for healing.
