Hi Grz:
I personally buy Nabulsi. It is a medium grade oil for virgin extra olive oil.
We have millions of trees here so we buy fresh oil for EVOO or extra virgin olive oil.
Both are cold pressed but virgin olive oil is for cooking as it is pressed twice. According to some mods on curezone you should not use virgin olive oil but I disagree. As long as it is a good brand and cold pressed.
Extra virgin olive oil goes rancid at 320 degrees so this is a light saute. EVOO good for salads, dipping and very light sautee.
Virgin good for cooking and if you have middle eastern stores look for some pure ghee or purified butter. This is butter with the fat removed. When cooking add in a tablespoon or 1/2 tablespoon of ghee for a higher cooking point and delicious flavor.
If you are rich like I know you are , then the best oils are from Palestine and Iraq. The lowest quality is from Saudi Arabia and the medium grades are from Jordan and Egypt. I buy Egypt any day over Saudi oil. Now I do buy a really good black seed oil from Saudi called Hemani Black Seed oil but many grades of black seed oil from Saudi are grade 2.
Too bad you can't fly to Jordan Grz and get the fresh olive oil right from the trees, now those are the best.
Take Care,
Sara
