Awesome experimentation, Oh!

I'm assuming you're "playing" with garlic for the antiparasitic action.I wonder if you might experiment with various amounts of garlic bulbs for a stronger solution?

Liver flukes. Huh. I wonder why some people have them and some don't?

FYI, I've done quite a few (geez, I need to be keeping a journal... on the to-do list) high enemas with a pretty strong (again, not a very scientific assessment) BF&C solution. Of course, high enemas serve the purpose of cleaning out the transverse and ascending colon, potentially reaching all the way down to the cecum. Doing them with straight filtered/purified water has its advantages, but I was intrigued by the thought of adding herbs in a strong tea/decoction concentrate/solution after reading the same notes by Christopher that you mentioned. My purely hypothetical thought was that once the colon appeared relatively cleaned out after administering a number of water-only high enemas, that the colon/large intestine might be an instrument to absorb herbs and nutrients.

Of course, oral "administration of herbs and nutrients" makes the most sense, since the body is designed to digest and assimilate nutrients that way, there are the benefits of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and pancreatic enzyme action, to name just two. However, since we have established that the large intestine does absorb water, it can absorb coffee, wheatgrass and aloe vera juice, and various beneficial herbs into the circulatory system. To me, this would be of great benefit if we aren't able to take anything by mouth, for whatever reason.

I think when we are self-administering enemas, we need to know what our intentions are for doing them. This isn't a direct caution to you, Oh, but to others who come behind you. We aren't "doing" enemas for recreational purposes or because they are popular on this forum. We can certainly have an "enema party" as Dr. Schulze suggests, but we have to remain grounded and remember that we are here to do a very serious job of taking responsibility for our own health.

While I'm thinking about it, I want to gently remind everyone who "does" enemas (grammar doesn't sound right there, sorry) to CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT AFTER EACH USE. Uny has recommended over and over to clean the bucket and tube with hydrogen peroxide. Recall that if you were in a hospital receiving an enema, a new, sterile package would be opened each and every time you got one. I shudder to think what you might be doing to yourself if you do not take care of your equipment.

Also, if anyone does decide to add elements to their enemas, from experience I must caution you to strain your solution well as you pour it into your bucket. This goes for coffee grounds, leaves and roots from herbs, and as Oh mentioned, pieces of garlic.

I can't imagine Ohfor07 being anything other than meticulous. I know myself though, and I tend to be messy and sometimes cut corners in order to save time. This may not be the safest action, so I have to remember to love myself enough to be responsible for the cleanup as well as the healing action.

It's really good to hear of your successes Oh. :) Keep it up!
