at the age of 26 i am now 42,i suddenly collapsed n passed out for how long i dont know.when i came round i noticed a strange feeling of fullness or tightness in my abdomen,when i looked my abdomen had become distended to the extent i felt great discomfort breathing.for many years ive heard that it was caused by everything from ibs diverticular disease even my mental health,very recently i was diagnosed with long standing chronic bronchitis which has developed into emphysema.i was also told i have something called a barrel chest which means that the air thats not getting into my lungs has gone behind my ribs n has pushed them outwards giving me the distension,i find it so hard to take breathes in n out to the point of distress as my diaphraghm feels like it wont expand like theres pressure on it.
