I enjoy many of your posts I just wanted to share my experience with this and perhaps what may be an important distinction.
I find so many in spiritual circles ignoring the shadows in their reality and painting on spiritual happy faces over top. I think to get to a truly clear "place" at the level of our stories (and coherent within the structure) that has lasting benefits, one must face and bring awareness to these shadows.
What I am saying is use a method of inquiry (one approach)to dissolve the illusion of the shadow. Many of us had irrational fears when we were children which were overcome by a wider awareness that just naturally dissolves the fear, never to return again. When we see the bigger picture and a wider view (context) the shadow thought has no more context to exist.
If we bury our fears they live on to hunt another day.
I am a big believer in what you focus on grows and this is a good practice as long as we aren't ignoring issues and painting them over with faux positivity. This will not create balance in the long run. To relate a physical analogy would be our mainstream medical model that paints over symptoms with pharmacological chemicals, never addressing the root cause. In the short term it may dull a symptom or two but because balance was not achieved, it creates imbalance in a new way and with new symptoms.
I hope this made sense. Something to think about.
