Uneven Skin Tone

With Black people or African-Americans, there's usually a problem with one of two things that has greatly plagued this race since coming to the shores of North America as slaves, and these two things are "skin" and "hair."

Slavery is responsible for the intense preoccupation with the skin ("is it the right color, not too dark or black?") and the hair ("don't want nappy hair").

During slavery, the greatest system of self-hatred was inculcated into Black slaves. They were systematically programmed to hate their very essence and in hating their very essence, they couldn't help but to end up hating their outer appearance.

This extreme, psychological and mental-based hatred has become somewhat genetic and congenital and passed down from one generation to the next, and even in 2009, many years after the Black Pride movements of the 1960s and 1970s, many Black people in the U.S. and even the continent of Africa (especially the continent of Africa) still have issues with their skin and their hair being the right shade and having the right texture respectively and will go through great lengths to alter them, even to their own detriment, injury, and harm. In fact, both skin care and hair care industries make billions of dollars off of Black people/African-Americans annually, especially from Black women as beauty has more of an impact on the female species (regardless of race or nationality).

Based upon the title of this article, I will not deal with hair issues herein. For my views on hair, please read my articles "Black Hair, Nappy Hair", "Hair Problems", and "Why Black Women Hair Fall Out" located in the 'articles' section of the Dherbs.com website.

I receive many inquiries from Black women regarding uneven skin tone. Their skin tone or complexion becomes uneven over time and it becomes a preoccupation for them to have the skin tone or complexion to return to an even state; and while this is understandable, they miss the bigger picture - the message being conveyed by the body. When the skin tone or complexion becomes uneven, it is a reaction to something; something eaten (diet), something going on or transpiring in the life, or something going on in the thought process and/or emotions. Nothing happens without cause or reason. I find it ironic that the women of a race who has had so many hang-ups about skin tone, complexion, and color, are now having auto-initiated problems with the thing of a conscious or unconscious preoccupation - skin!

Many Black/African women experimented with skin bleaching products (creams, gels, soaps) so as to lighten their skin tone or complexion, which in my opinion are a major violation to the body and a disrespect to the Self that chose the present life vehicle (body) before incarnation. And of course when we get here to planet Earth and take on the dense body, we forget almost everything we agreed upon and/or chose before incarnating.

If we consciously, religiously or faithfully pursued becoming spiritually conscious and aiming for the higher spiritual values of life to the extent we do with the becoming materially conscious and aiming for the material values of life, we'd remember a lot of why we decided to come here (be born) and what we chose to do once here in the first place. Out of this would come a natural acceptance of one's self - an acceptance of one's body frame, an acceptance of one's height, an acceptance of one's weight, an acceptance of one's gender, an acceptance of one's sexuality, and an acceptance of one's so-called race or nationality.

From what I have observed thus far in my life is that African-Americans and many continental Africans need to learn self-acceptance more than any other group or nationality of people. The key word here is "more" as there are people of other races, ethnicities, and nationalities who also have self-acceptance issues, especially once they come to the United States and amalgamate into American society or any other dominant European society where white, European, or Caucasian is the standard for almost everything, especially beauty and divinity.

Black women who may experience uneven skin tone may have had an unconscious desire to have light skin, or perhaps, maybe even outright white skin.

They may have had recurring or consistent thoughts of chemically lightening their skin. Recurrent thoughts such as these may have initiated an automatic lightening of the skin reflex where now the body responds to the thoughts and feelings of the person and lightens the skin in certain areas and not all areas of the body creating a clear anomaly and defect that is clearly noticeable to the host of the body.

Why only a lightening in certain areas of the body that is clearly a defect considering skin tone should be even throughout the body? Well, could it be that the very thought itself to alter the skin tone is defective - defective thinking?

You know, diseases usually result from diseased thinking and emotions. Likewise with physical defects! They too usually result from defective thinking and emotions, not to mention defective diets - diets containing nutritionally impoverished and low vibrational foods.

The skin is a living organ and it has intelligence as well as memory. It can pick up on the thoughts and emotions of the host. The skin is also an indicator and sensor. The skin manifests the condition of the blood underneath the skin.

Our poor skin takes such a beating due to our grand ignorance. Look at what we do to our skin and almost daily. We sabotage our own skin. We mutilate our skin. We deface our own skin. "Well how, Djehuty?" That's easy! Look at all the unnatural and unhealthy products we put on our skin - lotion, synthetic oils (petroleum-based oils, i.e. mineral oil, 'Vaseline'), animal-based oils, i.e. lanolin; perfumes and colognes, nicotine patches; some of us get tattoos that utilize permanent man-made inks, we bathe and shower in chlorinated water which robs our skin of its natural moisture; many of us inject needles into the skin - intravenous drug users and diabetics on insulin and I can't forget all the steroid users out there; many females allow male sperm to be shot on their skin in the sex act (which leaves an energetic imprint in the skin); we apply powders and talc to the skin, we do so much damage to our skin daily and remain totally oblivious to all the harm we do to our skin and then wonder why our skin ends up looking crappy, all dry, tight, un-elastic, spotted and marked with dark-colored blemishes, marked by unsightly bumps and lesions, etc.

We - the host of the body, are responsible for all this and simply due to the fact that we are some very unconscious beings, especially those of us here in this glorified Matrix of the United States where most people sell their souls daily and without thought due to severe unconsciousness.

Skin tone changes based upon life changes, just as your hands change based upon life changes, but because you may not look at your hands, you may not know this. Many people equate looking at the palms of their hands with the Science of palmistry, but the palms of the hand are revealing. What do you think all those lines are there for in the palms of your hand? Decoration? Please! God is nowhere near frivolous as man is. Everything means something! Yes, everything on the body means something - every mole, every skin tag, every birthmark, every line in your palms, the color of your eyes, every discoloration of the skin, the color of your finger and toenails, etc.

Naturally Restoring Uneven Skin Tone

Live healthy and wholistic and everything will come back into balance. You see, evidently you did something for the skin to become uneven in the first place despite your being unconscious; after all, the skin was not always uneven. Something happened based upon what was going on in your life and things you were doing and thinking. Go back to that period and reflect and start from there. Do the reverse and the healing will begin.

Skin manifests the condition of the blood. Cleanse and purify your blood! Good blood cleansing compounds from Dherbs.com include Full Body Detox, 10-Day Supreme Blood Cleanser, Blood and Lymphatic Formula (capsules and tea); Electric Greens Cell Food formula, and Vitamin C Formula.

Perform the Sea Salt soak often. To learn more about the Sea Salt , visit our articles section and read the article entitled "Sea Salt Soak".

Refrain from using lotion on the skin (unless it's a lotion manufactured from salubrious ingredients), especially cheap costing lotions which are saturated with harmful ingredients.

Instead of lotion, use botanical oils to moisten or moisturize the skin. Good botanical oils include: olive, coconut, grape seed, almond, jojoba, kukui nut, and rose hip seed just to name a few.

For skin healing purposes, try Dherbs.com's "Healing Skin Oil" and/or "Oz-Oil". The 'Healing Skin Oil' contains essential oils and the 'Oz-Oil' is oxygenated.

NEVER use petroleum products on your skin, much less lanolin. These oils suffocate the skin and prevent it from breathing. Remember, technically, you're supposed to be able to eat everything you put on your body. Can you eat rocks or stones? Well, petroleum is made from rocks and stones; and you may be able to eat sheep (source of lanolin) despite going against your nature as man is not a carnivore by nature, but you first have to commit murder to eat a sheep as no animal will naturally give its life for food for humans. Man takes via murder, and these days not so much for food purposes, but sheer greed (profits).

Consider switching from perfumes and colognes to Nature's essential oils. Nature has produced many sweet-smelling flowers that produce sweet-smelling fragrances, i.e. Ylang Ylang, Davana, Sandalwood, Framkincense, Linden Flowers, Champaca, Litsea Cubeba (May Chang), Rose, Neroli, and Chamomile. Reprogram your thought process! Use mental science. Create recurrent thoughts and visualizations of how you desire for your skin tone to be. It is a law that what is mentalized is soon actualized. Use your mind for healing purposes (check out our "Mental Science Manual" e-book). The government hasn't outlawed use of the mind yet, however, it may come very soon if mind control and manipulation tactics don't work fast enough to really get this New World Order in high gear.

More importantly, learn to love and accept yourself, from the skin inward. Accept your whole being: your hair, shape and size of your facial features, height, weight, and shape; your sexual embellishments (for you ladies), etc.

Nothing better purifies the blood than raw foods - fruits and vegetables. Eat plenty of raw, organic, fruits and vegetables daily. Drink vegetable juice daily! If you must eat solid and cooked food, consider vegan foods! Leave meat and meat byproducts alone! I'm telling you, most of your pathologies are due to eating meat and dairy products (if you in fact eat these things). It never fails! These so-called foods are toxic and poisonous to the body. They may taste good to you but that is only because you have been programmed and your palate is corrupted (due to all the chemicals placed in what you eat and drink).

Chemicalization is not the way to go to repair your uneven skin tone! Nor is using skin lighteners and whiteners in the form of bleaching creams and soaps. It's a shame how many European companies are making a fortune off of Black or African self-hatred due to many continental Africans purchasing skin lightening and whitening products just to lighten their skin complexion so as to look a tidbit closer to the skin color of their country's original colonizers who colonized their ancestors many centuries ago. The act of changing one's skin color is a pathology simply because it is a reaction due to circumstances, circumstances with nefarious roots that violate the laws of humanity (which European slavery of Africans did, just as what the Germans did to the European Jews, what the Turkish did to the Armenians, what the Spaniards did to the Native Americans, what the Americans did to the Japanese during WWII, etc.).

However, no people suffered the degree of mental, psychological, and spiritual dehumanization as Africans in America from the European-African slave trade (which lasted centuries) and which is the underlying reason why Black Americans generally and collectively are still handicapped and a liability to America society to this very day despite the great strides in recent decades.

You must go and study what was systematically done to the African, how the African was uprooted from his/her homeland against his/her will, beaten, raped, burned, lynched, hung; robbed of his/her native tongue (language); their concept of God altered and replaced with a foreign one that benefited the slave-master (as the new God looked just like the slave-master); their native rituals, rites of passage, and customs taken and replaced with foreign ones that had no deep meaning on the soul level but were based upon lies and falsehoods concocted by European males in positions of power; their native diet changed and replaced with a diet devoid of the necessary and essential nutrients required for optimal health and well-being based upon bio-genetic principles; the African female reduced to a breeder and the African male reduced to a stud, like what is done with animals (horses); and what had to be the most unbearable thing during slavery (perhaps ranking with rape and watching a loved one killed) - the family being broken up, sold off to new slave owners, all over economics that profited white males and their families, and then we wonder why all the high negative statistics among Black Americans today with out-of-wedlock pregnancies, abortions, sexual promiscuity and sexually transmitted diseases; single parent households, Black males being reluctant to be fathers and to take care of their seed and responsibilities, simply preferring to be jocks, pimps, ballers, hustlers, and players, and so many other things that plague this particular people to this very day.

So you say that Africans played a role in their own enslavement? Well, this is the new retort to remove or palliate responsibility from those guilty of the slave trade and/or who benefited from the slave trade, however, let us consider the facts. While African tribes did war against themselves that led to POWs (tribal members enslaved to other tribes, prisoners of war), African tribes did not do the hellacious things Europeans did to Africans once they enslaved them, especially on the soil of America.

POWs were never dehumanized! The women were not forced to become breeders nor the males studs; their diets were not impaired; the women not disrespected and raped at will, etc.

What was done to Africans during 400+ years of slavery (dehumanization) has never been repaired; and I'm sorry to step on toes, but electing a Black man as president of the United States will not undo all the damage done to African-Americans. An illusion never solved a problem!

I stated all of the above to state that most of the reasons African-Americans have hang-ups about their skin tone and color and texture of their hair (and even the shape and size of their facial features [lips and noses]) even to this very day despite all the so-called social, political, academic, and economic progress and advancement of recent times and years, is due to what occurred to African people during 400+ years of slavery on American soil and in the Diaspora.

The hard truth of the matter is that African-American females spend over a billion dollars every year under the guise of beauty (especially pertaining to skin and hair care) so as to look like White women - who have been made the standard of beauty by not even themselves, but White males. Western beauty standards are just as harmful to White females as they are to Black females. They are harmful to women, period!

Unconsciously or subconsciously, Black females are simply trying to meet a standard of beauty that is not conducive to their well-being on any level, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, or spiritual and this so-called standard of beauty does far way more harm than good.

You tell me the number one reason so many Black females hot comb (kill) and/or perm their hair! They may say it's to make their hair more manageable, but I'll tell you that it's deeper than that.

If your hair naturally stands up or spirals up, that's a statement being made. If you hair naturally grows straight up, but you perform a chemical process and/or other unnatural process (i.e. hot comb) to make that hair flat and to drop down to your shoulders, you are clearly going against your nature and being other than yourself.

Now of course Djehuty Ma'at-Ra recognizes and respects free will, but he also recognizes and respects the Law of Consequences, and the Law of Consequences brings many Black females my way stating a simple proverbial statement which is: "Djehuty, my hair is falling out!" which is followed by a simple proverbial question, which is: "What can I do to keep my hair from falling out?"

The clear cut and precise answer is simply to stop violating the laws of Nature and your body by mutilating and abusing your hair, but that's not a too well received answer for most Black women so I created an article ("Why Black Women Hair Fallout") that goes into detail why their hair fall out and understandably so considering what many Black females do to their hair under the guise of beauty and hair management which I truly believe is a front for a deeply embedded self-hatred of who they really 'be'! Not in all cases, but most cases.

Truly, if people (especially females) learned to love and accept themselves unconditionally, they wouldn't have half or most of the problems they have at present.

NOTE: the above words should NOT constitute reasons (excuses) for African-Americans to not strive to do better in life or to sit around on their asses all day complaining about the White man, America, the government, law enforcement, the New Word Order or Illuminati, etc and simultaneously begging for reparations and/or waiting for a government assistance check to come in the mail.

Life is bigger than this Matrix and there's a grander scheme for our lives on a higher spiritual level while on this Earth in a flesh body. Politics is man-made and thus a ploy to divert attention from one's higher life calling on Earth. Politics is all about control, just as government is, and you are not here to be controlled but to express your essence which includes expressing your freedom, power, sovereignty, and wealth. This doesn't mean to disobey man-made laws. Man-made laws are part of the trap that only applies to unconscious people. That's who get hurt most by man-made laws - unconscious people who are also usually immature, irresponsible, ignorant, and/or emotionally imbalanced.

A truly conscious and spiritual person does not violate man-made laws because following higher laws automatically protects him/her from lower man-made laws and helps the conscious and spiritual man/woman to navigate through and around these man-made laws.

The foregoing is based simply on the views, opinions, and observations of the author based upon experience and independent research.

The best solution to naturally even out your skin tone (whether the above applied to you or not) is to live in harmony with Nature law, to live righteous, and to eat healthy. Your skin tone will even itself out when you stop concentrating on the uneven skin tone. Simply just focus on your being and this will facilitate healing on all levels of your existence.
