To make a short response. The reason your dentist thinks that it is dangerous is because of a mountain of misinformation concerning ozone. And an information war that has been waged (mostly in the states) for close to a century. but it deals not only with health. but with sheer commerce. I can untangled most of it, but it is far to vast to go into detail (again) here. good link
