I am using 648mg of betaine hcl 2 times a day with morning and evening meals. I also eat a lighter diet with less sugars. I drink lots of water that has been alkalize. These may be factors that have helped me as well. This spring the smell was quite strong with several people making comments. I found out about Hydrochloric inbalance after reading Dr. Theodore Baroody's book this fall. I have started taking the capsules for about 2 months and there have been no comments about a smell. I don't know if it will work for everyone because each case is different. I know that it has helped me but I know that you have to watch your diet and many other things. I hope it will work for others.
