I'd have to agree with calmvoice's not so calm voice for the most part on this one. The website clearly defines cheilosis as cracking in the corners of the mouth and inflammation, when it should be calling it angular cheilitis.
I also reiterate that this SYMPTOM could be brought on by a number of factors, including yeast, bacteria, virus, stress or contact allergy, auto-immune etc. ... so of course while you can't make a blanket statement that cheilosis (abnormal lips) is contagious, you also need to consider and rule out whether fungus or bacteria was transferred from SOMEWHERE to your lips, from the digestive tract to oral sex or kissing.
The most accurate way to find out is by paying for tests, stool sample or the dreaded biopsy for example. Alternatively you can check if people you've made out with have the same problem now (no one on here, chris_juno for example, has suggested any such thing, nor have the few women I've kissed mentioned anything). You would also have to consider the severity of the infection and whether it is under the skin or coming out in globules of pus.
Pus.
