If the new paradigm on healthcare that is being forced upon us had been in effect 20 years ago your mother would have likely had an "end of life" doctors consultation at the time and been told how she was expected to die soon and how to prepare for doing so.  It is an outrage for us to reject the value and wisdom of our eldest so callously and cheapen the value of their lives.
