Just want to share my success story. I know many people suffer from acid reflux (GERD), so I thought my story could help somebody.
A little prehistory: I was pretty healthy, not overweight, without any underlying health conditions.
My troubles started when I contracted H pylori at 36.
I got rid of H pyolri with two rounds of 14-Day Triple Antibiotic Regime. A while after, I started having acid reflux, really bad one. I took a lot of antacids, but the only helped to relieve the symptoms for a short time.
I tried Nexium, it helped just a tad but once I'd stop taking it, the acid would pour in with double strength, so I stopped taking any meds.
I changed my diet, and adjusted my bed so I'd have my head elevated - this just reduced my symptoms a little. I had this acid reflux (along with associated anxiety) non-stop for about 6 months. I also noticed that stress makes the acid reflux worse.
Then one Saturday morning I made myself two extra large cups of Calm Tea (same as sold in Starbucks) with ice. No Sugar or anything, just the Calm Tea (few bags) and ice.
I didn't eat anything until about 4PM. All this time I was seeping this iced tea slowly and listening relaxing music. I felt less acid in the evening, so next morning I did the same protocol - no food; just the Calm Tea with ice and relax until about 4-5 PM.
Since the following day my acid reflux was gone.
Just like somebody turned off the acid switch.
This was three years ago. I had a couple of short occasions of acid reflux after heavy meals since, but after that I never had it, and my stomach, esophagus and the throat healed completely. Now I can eat everything and my acid level is normal.
I hope this will help someone,
Good luck!
