Are you absolutely sure it is giardia? This can be a complicated parasite, but it is usually cleared by the body eventually. You would be very sick, and have diarrhea and many other symptoms for days. "Paromomycin a minimally absorbed aminogycoside with unknown mechnism against Giardia, remains an alternative drug". shroom
