I have been taking a copper supplement for over two months now. I take up to 5mg a day. I started stretching/yoga for an hour almost every morning and lifting weights, rebounding, etc. through out the day 6-7 months ago and slowly realized how out of balance my body had become. I saw an message on curezone that talked about copper deficiency, when I looked deeper into the effects I ran out to the store and got some copper capsules. I have been going to a chiropractor for a little over a month now, he says he has never seen someone recover from scoliosis so quickly. My posture is improving day by day, the rebalancing of my body has been painful sometimes but I can't explain how good it feels to have my frame straightened out. Mystery solved!!!!! No medical Doctor ever told me copper supplementation could help my scoliosis.
Inadequate dietary copper causes osteoporosis in numerous animal species and humans. (Dollwet and Sorenson, Biol Tr Elem Res 1988; 18: 39-48) Copper deficiency is associated with scoliosis, skeletal abnormalities, and increased susceptibility to fractures. (Worthington and Shambaugh, J Manipulative Physiol Ther 1993; 16: 169-173)

Diet as an External Factor in the Expression of Scoliosis in a Line of Susceptible Chickens1
That vitamin B-6, manganese and copper are dietary factors important to the expression of scoliosis may be related to their roles in the formation of connective tissue components, such as matrix glycoproteins, collagen or proteoglycans. For example, alterations and abnormalities in connective tissue may partly underlie progression of scollosis and its potential for expression.
