Like you, I fully support the use of complementary medicine and preventive approaches to health and well being. My health team introduced the use of touch - 15-Minute StressOut Program - to staff and residents living in nursing homes throughout southern New Mexico. The staff reported that the Alzheimer's patients receiving our touch program showed a reduction in agitation and stress. They indicated that the wards and environment were also more in harmony following the "hands on" experience given during a 6 week study--everyone benefited whether they were touched or not.
