Thank you for your reply. She's on the above supplements plus others, but I did not know about Taurine; I'll have to order some.

She has access to the food bowls of organic dry dog food. I give them 2 different brands. Also, I make her chicken stew, beef stew, and chicken and dumplings - all organic. I put her supplements in those. She has lost most of her teeth, so I make sure she has the homemade foods a few times a day in small amounts.

We had her vet visit, and according to the date we found her and their estimate, she's now about 14 1/2. Unfortunately, she does have cardiomyopathy. I asked them to do an x-ray, and the enlargement is significant. The heart is pressing on her trachea, causing the cough. It's infrequent, and usually at night. The vet who saw her did not paint a bleak picture, however. I just wish that I could give her a supplement that would actually reverse the enlargement; I don't know if any supplements will do that.

She has also developed an unbelievable number of tiny warts on her body ! I'm dabbing Colloidal Silver on them in hopes that they will go away. I also put it in their water.

She's a High Maintainance Pooh, but we love her !
