Thanks. Perhaps taking HCL in conjunction with stuff like L-glutamine to heal the gut could work. I was taking JUST HCL with a leaky gut, and it was not helpful at all, and in fact detrimental (at least for me). For me, starting L-Glutamine and aloe alone, and then after about a week of that, adding in ACV, worked much better. Perhpas you are right, tho, and doing both at same time would have worked.
