I had chronicallyy infected tonsils when I was young, they bothered me all of my young adult life. I had those awful tonsolith things. I used to dream about them all the time, they occupied way too much of my thought. I was always getting strep throat and trying to keep them clean.I was forever staring in a mirror trying to get those awful things out. But, sometimes they are in the back where you can't see them.

I was told by a doctor that they were cryptic and would always cause infection and continue to get the white stuff in them and they were no longer a help to my immune system.

So, I had them out when I was 31. It was the best thing I ever did. No more dreams. Never get sore throats of any kind. No more Antibiotics for strep. I should have paid heed to the dreams earlier. But, I knew it was risky for an adult. I had no problems though.

So, I guess, I would do a Colon Cleanse if I were you. I've done various kinds. I liked a juice fast, with psyllium/water drinks between, a few times a day. I used fresh juice, carrot, apple, celery, sweet potato. A few others. Lately, i have mainly used Oxypowder . But, the juice fast was probably most effective because I didn't eat food. Mine were 8 to 10 days.
