Just a note about thyroid testing - there are a lot of false negatives. Most doctors don't have the slightest clue how to test the thryoid and when number often come back falsely normal, they think you are find. I have hypothryoidism. Most tests I show normal, but I finally went and saw hormonal specialist in Houston. They were the ones who finally diagnosed me as hypo (which I had known all along). My girlfriend is hypo and is now going to a specialist at UCLA. He is going to test her thyroid by taking a tissue sample. It is done like a skin punch some where innoculous on her body. Blood thryoid tests are usually not accurate. She tells me that tissue ones are far more accurate. The docs I saw in Houston go by blood, symptoms and appearance. I fit the profile to a T and had 99% of the symptoms. Can't wait to get mine running normally again.
