I was on lexapro for derpession and anxiety when I went through a divorce years ago.  It helped a LOT.  Just wanted to let you know though, that the side affects are harsh for the first month or so.  I had really bad jitters for about a month (found that Yogi's "calm" tea helped some).  Hang in there...
