I would not  bother with the vanadium unless you are diabetic.

Hypoglycemic reactions from not eating go back to adrenal dysfunction.  When the blood sugar drops the adrenals will release cortisol, which in turn releases glycogen from the liver to restore proper blood glucose.  If the adrenals do not respond properly then you have a hypoglycemic reaction.
