I've been working on my adrenal fatigue-high cortisol for over a year now. Until recently, I was taking 50-75mg elavil, 30mg melatonin to sleep. I now take just 12.5 elavil (trying to wean off), 10mg melatonin, 50 mg benadryl and 2 seriphos. I wake up maybe once or twice at night but it's usually because of reflux or back pain. It takes a while to bring the cortisol levels down. Taking extra C (2-4grams), unprocessed salt and vit A and B's help feed the adrenals.
