If I understand your post correctly, you did not mix the p&b in water...right? Be very careful...the psyllium absorbs a tremendous amount of water quite rapidly and swells...could pose a danger of choking. Psyllium capsules are not as effective because they only cleanse from the point that they empty their contents...but I would recommend that you use the caps instead of taking the p&b neat!

Frankly, I can't imagine that eating(?!) the p&b is an easier way of taking it...but to each his own...LOL!
