lol, isn't it interesting how statistics can be manipulated to say what ever people want to say.

Apart from actually dying, runners end up with a lot of health issues. I've done post mortems on runners and other athletes and have seen what damage running can do. A 40 year old runner, (specifically long distance running), will have the joints of an 80 year old. They often have spinal problems as well, such as compressed disks, wearing of the vertebra and scholiosis of the spine. Not to mention fallen arches in their feet, stress fractures in their shins and hips, and many other orthopedic problems. I did a postmortem on a marathon runner who died at the age of 38,(drowning, not running death), if I didn't know his age from his records, I would have estimated his age at about 70-75 going on the joint damage and the appearance of his skin.

Its much healthier to walk, with short bursts of jogging, rather than running.
