The sieve is VERY easy to clean. There are these little self wiping silicon flaps that clean as you go along and then you can also run water into the chute afterwards and that also cleans up as well, so there is next to no scrubbing afterwards.
Check these two videos - they will give you a good idea whether you want to make an exchange.
By the way, these videos mention the Hurom juicer, not the VRT ... but they are IDENTICAL. Hurom is the manufacturer, and then it is rebranded as the Omega VRT330 (which then gives a longer warranty I think)
And the RPMs is 80, which is pretty cool.
