Absolutely...whatever works best for you!

The whole seed doesn't do much...ground might be a bit better...you could also reduce the amount of husk...say 1/2 teaspoon...and see if that works better. My guess is that the combination husk/seed is working well for you...not because of the seed, but because of less husks.
