Does anybody have any authoratative support for sauerkraut being a absorbable source of B12? Because you can have ample amounts of B12 but it doesn't mean you'll assimilate it. Typical example is spirulina. Its a well known fact you cannot abosrb B12 from that - though all the people selling spirulina will argue otherwise.
What exactly is the B12 source in sauerkraut? Is it a bacteria that is being made by the combination of ingrediants? If so, then it very well might be able to be absorbed.
The REAL way to know if something works is to get tested properly - not the typical blood test (not accurate for vegans especially), but a MMA test or a homocysteine test. Then after that, eat your B12 food and get checked again in a few weeks or months. B12 levels do not go up fast so it can take a while for the improvement to show up in the test. Here is one area where your medical doctor can actually be of use to you in your pursuit of optimum health! And here you thought they were so useless!
