I think most people who have heard of it sincerely want to be protective of it- of the trees, and of nature generally.
It should not become something only the extract-producers and sellers take control of, since it is clearly given for those who might ask for and receive it. It IS wondrous and precious that a person may collect it for herself. I truly hope that anyone who does so, does this with real care and sensitivity, and a spirit of gratitude.
