I guess I can't add much to what you have said, but I will say that fear can stand in the way of every aspect of our lives, including our health.  If it is severe enough, it can paralyze our very lives.  The meditation methods described in the above article are an excellent avenue for eliminating fear.

I will say, however, if the fear is deep rooted, other methods may also have to be implemented, such as seeking someone to guide one through it.
